Careers in International Financial Services

When deciding on a career many considerations come into the type of role you would like and can be based on a variety of factors, such as: the location where you wish to live, family ties, availability of work in your chosen area, economic climate, being employed or self employed, schooling where applicable, cost of living and income requirements.

The role of an International Financial Adviser provides people with true flexibility in their career to be able to ensure that they are achieving both their personal and career objectives with a strong work life balance.  In addition to this successful advisers; providing good levels of advice and ongoing service to their clients are able to generate good levels of income by helping their clients to achieve their financial objectives.

At AES we ensure our partners and partner firms are able to provide the professional range of service, levels of technical advice and client support that all clients should expect from their adviser by making sure that they have all reached the educational requirements for the particular jurisdiction in which they are operating and that they undergo continuous professional development.

For the first time in 2011 AES will be opening up their internal training courses to people outside of the organisation, in order to introduce higher standards into the wider marketplace.

The first course is a 7 day residential course focused on the Chartered Insurance Institute exam called the Award in Financial Planning (formally The Financial Advisers International Qualification).  This ensures that you are fully prepared to sit and pass the exam giving you this vitally important qualification.

The second course is a 5 day residential course that is based on a wide range of international investment and protection products and the processes behind how business is conducted in terms of meetings, compliance, product research and suitability.  Intense focus is put on ensuring a highly differentiated and professional process so that all attendees are ready to introduce positive outcomes to the clients and organisations for which they go on to serve.

There will also be presentations from International Independent Financial Adviser companies who will also interview successful candidates wishing to be considered for a career with their company.
